Rob Spencer has spent 25 years running technology from inside construction companies, in the CIO seat. He's led the full range of enterprise technology for construction firms: ERP implementations, digital transformation, cybersecurity, data strategy, and the field technology that keeps projects moving.
Before founding BuiltTech Strategy Group, Rob held CIO and senior technology leadership roles across general contracting and specialty trade organizations. He knows construction from the inside, including the daily pull between the field, the office, ownership, and the back office, and he brings that to every engagement.
Rob advises firm leaders, ownership groups, and private equity sponsors on technology strategy, system selection, process improvement, digital adoption, and M&A diligence and integration. His counsel is direct and grounded in how construction businesses actually run, focused on decisions that move the business forward.
